Program Spotlight
Kindergarten Roundup

Kindergarten Roundup takes place each year around the end of February. The Teaching and Learning Department teams up with our Enrollment Department to register and screen students for Kindergarten for the upcoming school year. Each child is greeted and escorted to our team of teachers who ask them questions regarding numbers and letters. At the same time, the parent or guardian is helped with the processing of paperwork needed to register. Parents or guardians also have the opportunity to meet and talk with community groups such as the YMCA, Way Public Library, Perrysburg Police (to sign up for Safety Town) and support organizations from each school.

This past February, we registered more than 350 children. If you still need to register a new student for the 2019-20 school year (K-12), please visit our webpage at: http://www.perrysburgschools.net/Enrollment.aspx

Student Spotlight
Jonell Reece
12th Grade
Perrysburg High School

Jonell ReeceJonell Reece is an individual who goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels included. Her kind demeanor allows her to be accepting of all students. Additionally, she is constantly advocating for ways PHS can be more inclusive to all students.

“Over the past two years, I have been amazed by Jo’s maturity level and her ability to deal with a variety of situations,” shared Mallory Gebers, Intervention Specialist, Perrysburg High School. “Oftentimes when Jo is feeling frustrated about a situation, she will come up with a solution to the problem before you even ask her. Her ability to think through things and face tough topics head-on allow her to make meaningful progress with the students she has become friends with through the Peer Buddy Program.”

We’re so proud of you, Jo!
